FIIs net buy Rs 3.09 bn, DIIs net buy Rs 0.4 bn

Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) were net buyers in the equity segment worth Rs 3.09 billion on both BSE and NSE on August 17, as per provisional data available at NSE. They bought equities worth Rs 21.69 billion and sold equities worth Rs 18.6 billion.

While, Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs include banks, DFIs, Insurance and MFs) were net buyers in the equity segment worth Rs 0.4 billion on both the BSE and the NSE on August 17, as per provisional data available at the NSE. They bought equities worth Rs 10.44 billion and sold equities worth Rs 10.04 billion.
